A New Year; New Resolutions

Every year, I have new years resolutions that I never keep. This year will be different; this year I WILL keep my resolutions. After having my son, I told myself I needed to get the weight off. Not only do I weigh too much, it's the fact that one day he will be running all over and I want to be able to run around with him. This year, my resolution is to lose some weight for once and actually accomplish that. My goal is to lose about 65lbs and I would be so happy! I don't know if I could do that in a year, so my first goal is to lost 20lbs. I am at my pre-pregnancy weight so even 20lbs would be great! When the weather is warmer, I plan on being out walking either around the area by our apartment or down the road by the lake. Liam and I will take over with his stroller and I will lose some weight! My husband and I did this paleo diet (like low-carb) and that helped a lot. We have kind of stopped that, but we are still eating healthy and if we do have carbs, it's mostly healthy and not as much. Plus it is during the day and never at dinner (aside from the crockpot chili I made yesterday lol). I am determined to make this year a better one and I think this will help a lot.

Do any of you have any resolutions? Do you ever stick with them?

  1. I've made so many resolutions over the past few years but unfortunately, I either forget about them or just become too busy. This year I decided to forget about new year resolutions and decided to participate in the Day Zero Project (101 in 1001). It has given me a chance to accomplish some short term goals while working towards long term goals without having to worry about finishing it all within a year. Mine is on my blog if you would like to take a look at it (it still needs to be finished). By the way thanks for stopping by my blog, I am now following you as well!

  2. New Year's Resolutions:

    Drink more water
Work out 3-4 days a week
    Get my dream body
    Read 100 books
Spend as much time with Pat as possible
    Go back to school
Continue cooking instead of going out
Be an amazing bridesmaid to Liana
Finish more challenges on my 101 in 1001
I hope I can complete all of them.

  3. I have faith that you can complete that task and anything else you set your mind to! I am rooting for you! I want to get fit and start eating a lot better. I also want to have a much more positive outlook and just be a million times happier than I was last year. I am going to start living for ME and stop trying to please everyone else around me.

  4. You ladies are wonderful! Living for yourself and no one else is a fantastic resolution!

Ashley - Yay for Liana! Oh and I bet you will complete the book challenge ha. I bet you can meet all those goals! =]

Amber - I will definitely take a look. That is a great idea though; doing mini goals instead of one big one!
