How Is My Child 11 Months Old?

I am so sorry followers! I have been busy getting things ready for Liam's party, so I totally forgot to blog about Liam's 11 month status. Obviously I can't write too much as far as actual stats because he doesn't have another check up until he's one. However, I can tell you how incredible crazy awesome he is. This kid, let me tell you; he is a big ball of energy already. His favorite thing to do is climb onto our ottoman and try to climb on the couches (or climb up people). One day he will hurt himself though, but it's still funny to me. The one thing I LOVE that he does now is that he will run away from me, laugh and fall over when I go after him to tickle him. It is the cutest thing ever. He has such a personality now, it is ridiculous. As far as foods goes, he loves just about anything. He is finally eating almost 100%
'people' food (as I call it). We give him baby food every once in a while when I forget and don't set any food out for him (since we eat later than he does a lot of the time - that has to change). He loves toast any kind of carb though. Pasta, bread, you name it! He also has been trying to eat with his spoon. What a sight that is to watch.

I am pretty sure he had a growth spurt about a week or so ago. He was sleeping crazy patterns and eating a LOT. He seems a lot bigger now but maybe that is just me. He seems to be doing well though. He's practically almost running and dances to music. He's always yelling or babbling about something. He says what sounds like wee and no ha. He continues to get into everything! He's being doing good about things though. We tell him no and he usually stops. Other than that, he's doing the same old stuff. I can't believe I will have a one year old soon. I have been getting his stuff ready for the party. I'm quite excited. I think I am going way far into detail for his party, but I like decorating and being crafty. One... I still can't get over that...ONE YEARS OLD. Eeeeek.

Don't Judge...

My couponing haha. I thought I should just share real quick, what I am talking about. Yesterday, I met with this woman off craigslist and bought a wire rack she had for $10. Mind you, these cost around $35 or more brand new. It was in fantastic shape. It is now in our storage shed on our balcony and it holds my couponing extras. I just wanted our pantry back. It was overflowing with stuff we have 'stockpiled' I guess you could say. I want to get one more to hold canned goods and other stuff like toiletries or paper goods. I bet some people are rolling their eyes right now. I see it as a better way to hold things that we have so that we have more room to keep only the stuff we are using at the moment. This is working out perfectly until we are homeowners one day. Plus, it didn't help that I was in a late spring cleaning mode. I took out a lot of empty boxes and reorganized the storage shed. What have you done lately to organize or clean up?

Steals and Deals

I took a little hiatus from couponing because I became sick. Anyway, I am definitely back in the game. Albertsons had their doubler event with their TTV (twice the value) coupons. I found some pretty good deals, especially a few I am using for Liam's birthday party. Percentage wise, I have had better trips. However, money wise, this might be one of my best.

Now, one thing I will do this time around is change the way I show the deals. I'm going to break it down a little better so it makes more sense. I don't know if this matters to anyone or if you just like seeing how well I do, but I like to help others! I think everyone should save money. Let me know if it matters which way I should write them; if one way makes it easier to read than others.
$171 worth, paid $29 (83% savings)
If you shop at Albertsons and do their TTV events, you would know that you can only double 3 coupons per doubler sheet and you can only have 3 sheets per trip. Since I didn't expect such great deals, I ended up going one set and then headed to Walmart right down the road to get papers for another set. In a simpler way, you could probably either go to the back of the line (if there is one - I went at 8am) or go to your car and come back. Anyway, they also had a big buy 10 items, save $5 instantly promotion going on so that's why I have so many Propel. That was my filler to get 10 items (plus we love propel when we want something other than regular water).

Sickness In The Kelly Household

One major reason I haven't been posting is because we have all been sick. A while back, maybe weeks or a month ago I had a sinus infection. Actually, we all had something similar. It was pretty bad, to where I had a fever and all that fun stuff. I had to take antibiotics as well, it was so bad. Well, fast forward to this past week; we all got sick again. It started with Liam. He couldn't keep anything down and we'll just say he had a LOT of diapers lol. Anyway, he was on a straight pedialyte diet for one day because we couldn't give him solid foods or formula. I felt so bad for him. Then Adam and I got sick. I never had any problems keeping things down or anything of the like, but I had the worst stomach ache ever the whole time. I even ended up getting a fever of 101.2 and I started to worry. Luckily it finally broke a couple days ago. We all feel better now. I am almost 100% myself again. Liam is still a little sick though I think. I hate this nasty stuff that is going around. Please, please, please be careful. I would never wish any of this sickness on anyone! Being sick, I barely moved or did anything so I am sorry for being so MIA lately.

Good news is I am almost done making Liam's birthday invitations! I should be able to send them off next week or the week after at the latest (since his party is the end of June). Making them myself is better cost wise, but it takes so long! At least with what I am doing. It's definitely worth it though and I will definitely post about it later. Well, you all might have to wait until after his birthday and I'll do a HUGE post! I have plans for the favors too, involving jars and candy of some sort. I love being crafty!

Things Have Been...Busy

I haven't been posting as I usually do. I promise that once Liam's birthday is over, or at least until I get things done, I will start posting more. I am making his invites myself, baking the cupcakes and his mini cake myself. I have started getting the decore I need and everything else ready. I have just been all over the place! We still have over a month left, but I am still acting like I don't have any time at all!

As for Mother's Day, it was laid back. I just spent the day at home, being lazy ha. It's been pretty hot out, more like summer weather than spring. I have been out enjoying that as well. The husband made a nice dinner of filet mignon and we watched a few movies. Liam was being extra cuddly too ha. I hope those of you who are mothers also had a good day!

Been MIA and Need Help!

I am so sorry for the lack of blog posts lately. I have been busy getting over my cold and dealing with a teething baby. He is getting canines in (or vampire teeth as I call them). Anyway, I have been trying to get stuff for Liam's first birthday done. I am so behind for having almost two months still. I guess I just need to start getting on the ball. Any tips? I'm trying to make it simple! The park where we are having it is booked. We have decided on a blue and lime green-ish theme. It's summer so I want it summery. I want it bright and cheery. I might do hot dogs or sandwiches, haven't decided 100% yet. Maybe a little of both. I already have Liam's outfit, which we have had for AGES now. The main problem is that I need to get addresses and people aren't coopering. I don't know how many invites to order yet. I only have a few addresses so far and I want to order them within the next week or week and a half. The other problem is I need to decide if I want just a sheet cake or if I want a mini cake for Liam and cupcakes...OR even just cupcakes and no mini cake at all. What have you done, what do you think is easier? HELP! haha.
