Random Update

We finally had our confirmation ultrasound as I call it! They had a hard time last time since he was curled and moving a lot. Of course he was moving this time too but he coopered better! It's definitely a BOY though. =] We also came up with the name as Liam Oden. I'm pretty excited haha. I'm just glad we got a confirmation. The tech was nice and double checked to make sure and took pictures. I was hoping we didn't have to come in a third time ha. They also got better measurements of his body so that's good. It looked like everything was growing properly, although it looked like his legs were a little behind, but maybe it's because we are both pretty short...well, more average height...I don't know ha. Things are good though!!

These are hard to see from him moving so much, but that first one is obvious haha. The other is his face on the right...the black circles are the eyes. =]

My weekend was good too. We saw No Strings Attached and had dinner with the sister in-law and her family. The movie was super funny and cute at the same time haha. I would go see it if I were you! We haven't been to the movies in ages. Then today we went to the ultrasound and then walked around a bit. It's been a long weekend. He had today off so that was good. Back to work for him tomorrow and school work for me, boo!

Day Twenty

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.

Grouse Mountain Tour, Vancouver Canada
Capilano Bridge, Vancover Canada

I have been here before, but I want to visit Canada again one day. I went my freshman year in high school for a band trip to compete up there and I had a blast. We went to the Capilano bridge and took the Grouse Mtn. tour to get up there. It was the coolest thing ever, I wish I still had pictures from it.

Day Nineteen

Day 19 - A picture of you when you're little

I know, I was a cute little kid hahaha. The left picture is of myself and my sister. Such a long time ago!

January 29, 2011

Day Eighteen

Day 18 - A picture of your favorite place.

This one is easy, the sand dunes in Oregon!! My dad and I used to go almost every summer and I love it! Of course now I wont be able to since I'll be having the baby the month before they leave haha...but I did go last summer! I always have a blast and spend all day riding our quads. I always feel bad because I eat up the gas for them and my dad always has to get more, which is definitely not cheap! One day we will go again and I can't wait.

January 28, 2011

Half Way Done!

How far along: 20 Weeks!
Total weight gain: 3lbs since last month, making 13lbs total! Slightly more than I should be, but I'm working on it!
How big baby is: A Cantaloupe! Average baby is about 6 1/2 inches and 10.6 oz now! He's growing like crazy!
Maternity clothes: Still the same stuff. Although I plan on getting another pair or two of pants when we get our tax return money, score!

Stretch Marks: Well I think my belly button wants some because it's starting to look funny and darken up. I also found a couple more I think below my chest.
Sleep: Lately I can't seem to sleep more than about 4 hours but I finally slept a lot last night!
Best moment this week: Finding out today that everything is right on track and looking good!
Worst moment this week: Having trouble sleeping.
Movement: Here and there I feel popping. This next week I will probably feel it a lot more!

Food cravings:  None lately, luckily haha. Although the other night I had to get a candy bar...oops.
Belly Button (In or Out): Still in, but it's definitely starting to look funny. I'm sure it will poke out one day.
Gender: Healthy boy!!
Labor Signs: None yet!
What I am looking forward to: Another ultrasound Monday to double check measurements and the sex!
What I miss: Sleeping... a lot!

Day Seventeen

Day 17 - A picture of your biggest insecurity.

That's an easy one; the way I look. I only wore these short shorts and a tank top because it was soooo hot out last summer. I probably will never do that again, but I just hate how I look. I'm overweight and can't seem to get it to go away, even if I work out 5x's a week and eat healthy. I have never liked my arms, thighs or stomach and I want to change that one day.

January 27, 2011

Day Sixteen

Day 16 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

Without a doubt, our baby to be has definitely made an impact. Seeing those two lines on the pregnancy test opened up a new world to me. Of course we were actually trying but none the less, it is a huge change and I can't wait. That ultrasound (hard to tell, but that's the face and stomach) was my 19 week one when we found out we were having a boy. Now we are just waiting for him to get here mid June. Who knew I could love something so small!

January 26, 2011

Day Fifteen

Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die.

Basically, I want to travel all over Western Europe. That has been my dream trip for as long as I can remember. I want to go to France, Italy, Spain... I want to travel all over and visit all the fantastic places within. One day I hope it will happen, but for now I am content in Washington with my family.

January 25, 2011

Day Fourteen

Day 14 - A picture of your favorite pastime.

My passion is photography! That is one thing you will find me doing if I get bored. I love having random 'photography' days where I will just spend a day running around taking photos. I love it and I have not done it enough lately. :( I miss it dearly and need to start up again.

January 24, 2011

Unproductive Day...Kind Of

I spent all day thus far setting up my registries online at walmart and target. I got a little carried away and added some clothes too HA. I put all the necessary things I figured the baby and/or I would need, as well as just odds and ends that I wanted. I still have to figure out some things, but it's a great start. I'm glad to finally get the ball rolling. I know how fast babies can grow so I only chose a set of bodysuits for the newborn size, a couple items for 3 months and one item I REALLY wanted for 6 months haha. It works out because it's a Cardigan Set with a boysuit, pants and a hoodie...which works out PERFECT because 6 months-ish will be winter! Well, depending on how fast our baby grows.

I am happy with having a boy. At first we wanted a girl, but overall we were content with whatever gender. Now that i'm starting to look at things and get everything ready, i'm freakin EXCITED haha. I also have some friends who said they would help with the baby shower. Not sure yet since we need to get on that soon, but it's a start and I can't wait. Even my sister wants to fly out for it and she lives in Colorado...which isn't too far but I definitely haven't seen her in years. Overall, i'm pretty excited about our baby boy and I can't wait until he is here. Friday i'll be halfway done already so that's a big relief...and everything is looking good!=]

Day Thirteen

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist.

Framing Hanley has been my favorite band for a couple years now and one day I WILL see them live. It's so hard since they are from TN and they tend to just stay on the east side of the US. I also loveee Three Days Grace. They have been my favorites as long as I can remember! I have yet to see them as well. I have tons of bands locally-ish that I have seen and love but I can't choose them all. ;)

January 23, 2011

Day Twelve

Day 12 - A picture of something you love.

I love my photography more than anything. I haven't done anything lately though, which makes me sad. I'm sure i'll have plenty of opportunities once the little one is here! I wish I had more equipment and a better camera because I would love to go pro one day. Or at least be able to book shoots.

January 22, 2011

Day Eleven

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate.

I hateeeee waking up early, with a passion. If it's anytime before 9am I hate getting up haha. Oh and I hate alarm clocks! They are THE most annoying things ever! That's why I set my phone to go off because it wakes me up to the ringtone, which is a song I like.

January 21, 2011

The Big Revealing!

Today was the big day!! In order for Adam to get off work, I had to go get him. We got to the hospital a little early. My appointment was at 9:15am. We didn't get called back until about 9:25-9:30am. I had to drink 32oz of water the hour prior so boy did I have to pee! LOL. Then she has me lay down, we finally see our baby and it was surreal! It's so much different than when I had my ultrasound at 8 weeks. Oh and I'm 19 weeks on the dot today. Anyway, she measured and measured and measured. Eventually she made me use the bathroom to see if she could get the legs to open because no joke, baby was in a ball the whole time...all curled up (what luck I have)! So she keeps trying, I even had to turn on my side. She is not 100% sure but we are all pretty sure it's a..... BOY! I'm pretty sure it was the man parts I saw hahaha. His heart rate was also 144 so about the same as last time. =] My doctor will have the results within a day...so for sure by Monday (since I went to the Hospital near by instead of my OB). I have an appointment next friday for the normal check up stuff with my OB... but everything looked good! She didn't tell me that but I was looking at the measurements and they all looked right on target with my due date!

She only gave me two pictures. I was saddened since she didn't give me many, nor any of his 'parts' since they didn't get clear shots. I may have to go in for another ultrasound later to be 100% about the gender and to remeasure some parts (like the spine since he was curled up)... but we will see! We are pretty excited, even though we were leaning more towards a girl. =]

It's hard to see since he was moving so much but the first is of his feet and then of his face/body. Adam was a bit creeped out hahaha. I wish we got a picture of him waving, I love it haha.

Nineteen!

How far along: 19 weeks!
Total weight gain: Oh, hard telling, hopefully not much! We will see at my appointment next friday!
How big baby is: A mango! I like mangos lol. That's a whopping 6 in and 8.5 oz!! That's crazy our baby is already almost a foot long!
Maternity clothes: Still the same stuff, I need to get another pair of maternity jeans and a couple shirts ASAP!
Stretch Marks: No new ones found yet, but we shall see!
Sleep: I have been having trouble falling to sleep, but once that happens, I am fine.
Best moment this week: Finding out that we are having a baby boy!!
Worst moment this week: I had a horrible stomach bug and bad acid reflux!

Movement: A lot more movement now! Still slight flutters but I can tell!
Food cravings:  Nothing really lately...maybe fruit here and there.

Belly Button (In or Out): Still in, but it's not as far in as before.
Gender: Boyyyyyy.
Labor Signs: None luckily!
What I am looking forward to: Buy all the stuff we need for our boy!

What I miss: Sleeping... a lot!

Day Ten

Day 10 - A picture of someone you see yourself marrying in the future.

Since I have my husband already, I would have to say Channing Tatum LOL. My husband always makes fun of me and calls him my boyfriend whenever we see him in a movie because I think he's good looking. Say what you want, it could happen. ;) KIDDING. I would say either him, a millionaire (then divorce him), or someone with a Mustang (or Camaro and then divorce) hahaha.Good thing that would never happen HA.

January 20, 2011

So. Freakin. EXCITED!

Tomorrow is the big day!! We are going in to get my anatomy scan done! Hopefully the baby looks good and shows their goods!! I still REALLY want a girl, but I don't mind a boy either. It's quite a change since I wasn't happy with the fact that I could have a boy haha but we shall see! Either way, I am excited! I'm just glad my husband can come! I will update asap when I can. In the mean time, don't forget to cast your vote for what you think the gender is! =]

Day Nine

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most.

Oh you know, my husband of course! Don't be surprised if certain people come up more than once in this little challenge. I have had a LOT of people there for me through a lot. However, my husband is always there and always will be there for me. I don't know what I would do without him!

January 19, 2011

Day Eight

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.

LOL I miss these days! Libby and I used to webcam allllll the time and do weird faces. Don't judge! You wish you had beards like us ha. Good times. She will probably kill me for putting this up but I love it and laugh every time I see it!

January 18, 2011

Day Seven

Day 07 - A picture that shows your true self.

This was from 2008 I think, my senior year. That is my friend Fayth, we aren't AS close anymore though. :( This is how everyone should see me though! Always, always laughing. I don't remember what was going on in this picture. It was in our digital photography class; I think she said something funny and I started laughing. I LOVE pictures where you are caught off guard. I love to laugh and I love my friends.

January 17, 2011

Day Six

Day 06 - A picture of somewhere you've been.

The husband and I went to the Seahawks vs. Saints game at Qwest Field in Seattle! Boy was that a great game! It was also our first NFL game in person haha and we picked a good one! It definitely makes watching football on tv much more...boring I guess you could say. I will never forget that night. =]

January 16, 2011

Worst. Day. Ever (TMI)

OH.MY.WORD... I had THE worst day ever. I have lucked out so far in this pregnancy because the only symptoms I've had are occasional acid reflux and headaches...but TODAY oh man... I don't know if I am sick and have some stomach bug or if it's finally morning sickness, but I'm pretty sure (TMI) that I threw up every hour or so while awake. Adam made me take PM's and pass out, but I kept waking up to drink water and as soon as I stood up I was sick again. We finally went to the store and he got me pepto bismal and so far I haven't been sick (for the longest time so far while being awake). We will see though, I can't seem to keep anything down but i've been sipping tea and a gatorade for some type of nourishment. I'm not hungry and Adam thinks I should eat some tomato soup but I'm afraid I may puke it up lol. I figure it would be easiest to eat or easiest incase I get sick again. Adam thinks i'm sick though because he has indigestion bad and also has a really good immune system...so we will see. :(

Good thing my husband is amazing and has been great towards all this.

Day Five

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.

My most favorite memory, other than getting married and finding out we are expecting our first child is when my husband came home from a year long deployment in Afghanistan. I got butterflies and felt like a giddy school girl. If we ever have to go through a deployment again, the feeling when you see them after a year is well worth it. I love my husband more than anything!

January 15, 2011

Day Four

Day 04 - A picture of your favorite night.

I have so many favorite nights, but this one is up there! It was almost a year ago, but Christina and I randomly decided to go to Portland, Oregon at like 5pm at night haha. It was a good 2 hour drive or so, but we made it. I don't think we left Oregon until 10pm or midnight. We walked around, went to the mall... I have no idea how we had that much fun, but we did. I miss our random trips to places haha. One day we will do it again...one day.

January 14, 2011

Eighteen? NO WAY

How far along: 18 weeks, CRAZY.
Total weight gain: Oh, hard telling, hopefully not much! We will see at my appointment next friday!
How big baby is: Sweet Potato! Average fetus size is about 5.6 in and 6.7 oz. Can't believe how big baby is getting!
Maternity clothes: Still the same stuff, I need to get another pair of maternity jeans and a couple shirts ASAP!
Stretch Marks: No new ones found yet, but we shall see!
Sleep: I have been having trouble falling to sleep, but once that happens, I am fine.
Best moment this week: Finding out what gender my friends' babies are!
Worst moment this week: The husband and I got in a small argument. :(
Movement: I may have felt it once or so, but not much lately. Maybe it happens while I sleep.
Food cravings:  Fries lately and still sweets.

Belly Button (In or Out): Still in!
Gender: Find out next friday!! You still have seven days to vote on what you think the gender shall be!!
Labor Signs: None luckily!
What I am looking forward to: Finding out what our biscuit/tadpole is!!
What I miss: NOT having so many cravings.

16w1d on the left, 18w on the right (today)...CRAZY

Day Three

Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show.

Anyone who knows me, knows that all the CSI's are by far my favorite shows!! Of course, from NY I also love A.J. Buckley (who plays Adam) and from CSI Las Vegas, quite a few of the original team members are no longer on the show, but I love them all (including the new ones). Every new season, I always DVR my CSI's (yes, all three of them) so I don't miss them. We have On Demand with stupid Comcast, but sometimes I don't want to wait until the next day. Being Married to Adam, he doesn't always like my shows so the DVR is my hero! Of course I love other shows, but these are my top three for sure!

January 13, 2011

Day Two

Day 02 - A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest.

Ms. Christina has been one of those people who I have known for many, many years now. Even if we are not doing anything, we always have fun together. Whether we are watching movies, going out to eat, wrecking havoc around the mall... We always have fun and she can make me laugh no matter what. Now that we are both living with our husbands, we still hang out. She is my pregnancy buddy; due only a few weeks before me.

There is also Libby! Even though we live in different states, she has been my e-bff for many, many years. We pretty much tell each other everything and she knows things a lot of people don't. She has been there through a lot and I have been there for her. One day I will go see her and hopefully that will be soon!

January 12, 2011

Day One

Day 01 - A picture of yourself with 10 facts.

1. Penguins are beyond my favorite animal and I have no idea why.
2. I finally turned 21 last month, while being pregnant and I honestly didn't even care about drinking.
3. I wish to do photography as a career one day, even if it wont happen.

9. My weakness includes crime shows and Reeses.
10. If I could listen to music 24/7, believe me I would.

Acid Reflux Shall Be The Death Of Me

Let me tell you, I have had it easy this whole pregnancy! My friend who is a couple weeks ahead, has had hip pain, morning sickness, the works. Me? I haven't had anything. I had nausea a few times my first trimester. Now that I am in my second, I have been fine. Lately though, I have been hit with horrible acid reflux. Normally I can take some tums and be fine. However, these past two days have been horrid! I can take tums and drink milk, but nothing helps. It will be find for maybe a minute and then it will come back, full force. It got so bad, that I couldn't sleep that well. Luckily I pass out within a few hours so I just have to work through it for a bit. I can't think of anything else to take, so I am stuck this way. Lets up this doesn't become a daily thing or I don't know what I'll do. I suppose I couldn't be lucky my whole pregnancy haha.

Besides that, I have felt fine. I haven't been doing much, but I can not WAIT until I can start walking again. This cold weather needs to warm up and I will be good to go. Hopefully by the end of this month or next month I can start walking again. I feel so out of shape! However, I am only seeing weight gain in my belly I hope! It's getting big, everyone is starting to notice. I can't wait until I have a true belly if that makes sense? hah.

I couldn't sleep last night and was up watching tv.
Here is a picture from last night:
Crazy how big I am getting

January 10, 2011

S-e-v-e-n-t-e-e-n!!!

How far along: 17 weeks, 3 days
Total weight gain: I'm not sure yet, i'm sure i've gained more. :( I have an appt next week so we will see.
How big baby is: About the size of onion; 5.1 inches, 5.9 oz (well, that's the avg). Crazy to know baby is already that big.
Maternity clothes: The one pair of normal jeans I wear are getting too snug. I'm sure I wont be wearing them much longer. I still need another pair of maternity jeans.
Stretch Marks: Finding more around the chest; ladies are still growin ha.
Sleep: Lately has been ok, but I couldn't sleep last night thanks to acid reflux (not even tums or milk helped).
Best moment this week: The husband and I went to the Seahawks vs. Saints game. First NFL game for all of us, including baby. ;)
Worst moment this week: My acid reflux was horrible!
Movement: A little bit!! I've felt popping sensations like popcorn twice now this past week!
Food cravings:  Thanks to my husband, lots of chips and dip...and sweets. I love chocolate (Reese is my fave) but lately, I have had a lot of Jolly Ranchers haha.
Belly Button (In or Out): Very IN!
Gender: Hopefully we will see next friday (the 21st), although everyone still thinks it's a boy.
Labor Signs: None yet thankfully! I'm not far enough haha.
What I am looking forward to: Feeling the baby more and hopefully finding out the sex!
What I miss:
Eating anything and not worrying about where my tums are ha.

**No pictures this week, since I only take them every other week**

A Letter To My Husband

Dear Husband of Mine,

I am so thankful to have you in my life. Where do I even start? I am so glad that you decided to message me on Myspace that one day almost three years ago, no matter what your first intentions were. Sometimes I wish I could replay the 4th of July over and over again because that was the greatest day of my life; meeting you. In fact there are many days I wish I could replay over, like your homecoming from deployment. The feelings I had that day are indescribable and I wish you could feel them (even though I'm sure you had the same feelings yourself). We have had a lot of wonderful moments and I hope to have many more with you. Going the distance and getting married was one of the best decisions I have ever made with you. The decision to try to have a child and starting a family was the second greatest idea. Even though Liam is not quite here yet, I hope you understand how much I love him already and I know you already love him too.

I know you will be a great father and continue to be a great husband. You are my rock, my soul-mate and most importantly my best friend. I honestly have NO idea what I would do without you. I know that at times we have our problems, but who doesn't? Most importantly we work through them and we become stronger as a couple. I don't always think you are funny, but you still manage to make me smile. Whenever I feel sick, you make sure I'm tucked in and do your best to make me feel better; you make sure I try and eat something and get some rest. You are always proud of whatever it is I do, whether it is milestones from the pregnancy, my photography, or school. We can act silly around each other, or do nothing at all. No matter what, we always have a great time together.

I wish you knew just how much I love you and how happy you make me. As soon as you walk through the door after a long day at work, you make sure a kiss and a hug is the first thing I get. You make my heart skip a beat and put butterflies in my stomach. Only you can make me feel that way, even if you don't always think so. I can trust you and confide in you. I can't wait until our little man can interact with you and feel the same way I do. We can get through anything together and I know we will always be happy. Sometimes I don't like that you play xbox all the time. Sometimes I like to be selfish during a weekend and have you all to myself. However, I always want you to do what you love and have fun in life too.

We will have many more days and nights apart, but I want you to know that I always think about you no matter if we are apart for a few hours or a few months. I am trying to become a better wife and understand you more. We can make it through anything. I love you with all of my heart and that will never change. You are not just my heart and soul, but my whole life.

I love you,
Heleen.

Wonderful Seahawks Game!

For some random reason, my husband decided that he wanted to buy tickets to the Seahawks vs. Saints game in Seattle (which is about an hour away from us). We had horrible luck with that. He called ticketmaster at work to buy them (since he friend ordered some as well). We thought it was a good deal because it was only $115 for pretty good seats. Well, Thursday comes and we find out that they only sent us one ticket. So we are freaking out, i'm upset and everything... so I call my dad and LUCKILY he let us borrow money for two more tickets (we will pay him back on payday). So that next day (Friday) I look for tickets on the ticket exchange portion of ticketmaster (where others are selling their tickets). I found two tickets in better seating than the original tickets for only $85 a ticket! So I get those ordered and the husband finds someone else to buy our old ticket. FINALLY we get everything on track.

Saturday comes around for the game and we barely make it to the last Sounders train from Tacoma up to Seattle. It only runs on special days for football games and soccer games. We get up there at about 11:45am and it's unbelievable. I couldn't believe how many people were up there already. We found his friends and got the extra ticket at will call. Then we got through the gate and watched Blue Thunder (the drumline) perform for a minute. Then we walked alllllll the way up this huge ramp (I swear, it would never end) and we finally got up top to our area. Turns out we were on the wrong side, oops, so we had to walk around the whole stadium to our seats haha. We got food on the way though. We knew it would be expensive, but we didn't want to wonder around outside of the stadium and risk missing kickoff and such. We got Ivars, it was good! We finally got to our seats and they weren't bad at all.

Yesterday was UH-mazing though!! That's all I have to say. I am so glad the husband and I decided to spend money and go to the game! I never would have thought we would have done so well against the Saints (winning 41-36)!! I couldn't hear that well by the end and my voice was shot...but it was well worth it. The best part was having strangers come up to you and give you hugs and high fives haha. Love it. Now watching games on tv is just...weird. When we left, everyone was walking down the ramps (since we were in the upper level), chanting "Sea-hawks" haha it was awesome. I was annoyed by Saints fans yelling "Who dat" though... but whatever...everyone was yelling "Who dat, we dat" by the end anyway. It was a great night though, overall.

If I was at the point where I could feel the baby kicking, i'm sure he/she would be going CRAZY. It was so loud, especially when Lynch got that touchdown at the end. I'm sure the baby would have hated me... loud people, jumping up and down stairs, walking WAY too much...We were so worn out, we were in bed by 10:30pm hahaha. Now we are watching more football and waiting for the in-laws to come up for dinner. I kind of wish they weren't because I just want to sit around and be lazy...alone..but oh well. Guess i'll do that monday (aside from school work ha). It was all worth it though. It was not only our first NFL game, but the baby's.

Houston! We Have Movement!

Imagine me laying in bed, restless, husband asleep. Don't worry, i'm not naked haha. Get those thoughts away. ANYWAY, i'm laying there watching CSI (I believe). For some odd reason I can not sleep for the life of me. It was about 11:30pm or so. All the sudden, I feel this popping sensation. Kind of like popping popcorn, but it only lasted a few seconds. Then I felt some fluttering, kind of like the 'butterflies' you get in your stomach when you are nervous. I didn't think anything of it at first. Then I laid there for a minute thought, 'oh that was a weird feeling.' Then it hit me! I realized it was the baby! At least that is what I figured, since I have never felt that popping before. It was the most insanely weird feeling ever and I was kind of dumbfounded at first. I think it was kind of like when I saw 'pregnant' for the first time; it was like I was in a dream, that it wasn't really happening.

I was then beginning to think that I was going crazy because i'm almost 17 weeks. I know that you can start to feel movement, but it's usually for those who are smaller. Let me tell you, I am no where near the 'small' side of the scale. I don't go to my OB again until the end of the month, but it will be nice to tell him I finally have felt movement. He asked me at the last appointment if I have felt the baby yet and I was disappointed when I told him no. Now though, i'm pretty excited. I forgot to tell the husband this morning before he left for work because I wasn't fully awake. I did end up telling him via text a little bit ago and he's excited. I can't wait for the day when he can feel the baby move too. It's all becoming surreal if you ask me.

ALAS! My Mind Is Always Changing

Since before we even started trying to get pregnant, we both always wanted a little girl. These days, everyone says we are having a boy and even the Chinese gender prediction chart says we will have a boy. I'm sure with my luck that is what we will have. In the end, we will be happy with which ever gender. I know that part of me will be disappointed if we have a boy. I wish I knew why we even wanted a girl haha. Who knows, but we do. However, the more I think about it, the more I don't mind have a little boy. I guess it's from watching 16 and Pregnant HA. I guess I am just warming up to that idea since it IS 50/50 overall for a girl or boy. I don't feel so bad anymore about the thought of being disappointed with having a boy (if that happens). I have been talking to friends and some were disappointed that they didn't have the gender they wanted. In the end, we all learn to love our child and I know we will no matter the sex. I know that we would be absolutely delighted with a little girl. Besides, I have my husband and our cat, which are both a handful. I'm not sure if I can handle another 'man' in the house HA. Either way, I am just so glad to have a wonderful husband and (so far) a healthy baby.I can't wait to find out what we are having and to just be a new mom. I never thought I would be this ready to have a baby, but boy I am; bring on our new life!

What Are With These Dreams?

I'm frankly getting a bit tired of these insane dreams I have been having. It seems like every night is something else ha. They aren't extremely weird or anything, just completely random. I will have dreams about people I haven't met yet, or friends I haven't seen in years. Surprisingly I don't remember having any dreams with my child and I don't think I was pregnant in these dreams. At least, I don't remember ever looking down at my belly. Weird, no?

I know that these dreams are normal, but I still wish they would stop. I guess you could say that is my one real symptom of being pregnant. Before, I would dream but my dreams would not be that weird and random. Plus, I normally wouldn't remember them once I woke up. With these ones, I remember everything when I wake up haha. I just find it odd.

Itchy, Itchy, ITCHY!

Let me tell you, I have never in my life been so itchy as I was last night. The husband and I were sitting there, watching tv. Then BAM out of no where, my legs were on fire. I have never been so itchy in my life. I sat there and scratched them for what seemed like forever. Finally at some point, my husband yelled at me and told me to stop scratching. Of course I was too stubborn to listen. He ended up rubbing Cortizone creme on both of my legs. I guess I should have been happy though because both legs were red and had scratch marks all over. They even felt numb because of how much I scratched ha.

I haven't had many pregnancy symptoms but boy, if I keep itching like this, we will have some problems. I have been fine today so I think it was just a fluke thing. My belly is starting to itch here and there though. I can just see it now, once I get much bigger. I will need to stock up on Cortizone HA.

All I can say is: BRING IT ON PREGNANCY.

Better Late Than Never

I know that I should have done this sooner, but procrastination is my middle name! I figured it would be nice to start keeping track of my pregnancy!

How far along: 16 weeks, 1 day
Total weight gain: Oh way too many! About 15lbs I think. I blame the holidays! :(
How big baby is: Avocado size! Which is about 4.6 inches apparently, crazy!
Maternity clothes: Currently only have one pair of maternity pants and one maternity tank. I still have one or two pairs of regular pants that still fit, but are pretty snug.
Stretch Marks: Just maybe two around my chest. Ladies are growin haha.
Sleep: Aside from getting up every four hours, I sleep pretty well. Normally around 7-8 hours.
Best moment this week: Going to the casino with my husband.
Worst moment this week: Worst day today mood wise and lack of sleep wise.
Movement: None yet :( Hopefully here soon!
Food cravings: None really anymore, but I have been eating a lot of salad ha.
Belly Button (In or Out): Still very much in.
Gender: Too early to tell, although everyone thinks it's a boy.
Labor Signs: Way too early haha; none yet!
What I am looking forward to: Feeling movement, hearing the heartbeat each appointment, finding out the sex!
What I miss: Laying on my stomach! I never really liked to before, but now that is what would be more comfortable. :(

My belly is definitely rounding out I would say. Of course, i'm not the smallest to begin with!
